Using Beams of Light to Rejuvenate Your Skin

Cosmetic Laser Treatments work effectively and safely to provide a non-invasive treatment for a variety of cosmetic and dermatological skin conditions. They use highly concentrated beams of light energy, or lasers, to improve your skin’s tone, texture, and appearance. These laser treatments are non-surgical and non-invasive, as they do not involve the use of needles or scalpels.

Frequently-asked Questions

Here are a few of the questions we often receive about cosmetic lasers. Your question may be among them. If it isn’t, please send us your question using the link below.

What cosmetic laser treatment is best for my skin?

When it comes to cosmetic laser treatments, different lasers address different skin issues. Having a consult before your treatment is the recommended way to narrow your options and choose a service that suited to your skin needs.

How effective are cosmetic laser treatments?

While cosmetic laser treatments can significantly rejuvenate skin, they can’t undo years of damage in an instant. More than one treatment session is often needed.

How much downtime is required?

As part of rejuvenation process, cosmetic lasers can temporarily cause skin to become red or peel. Checking your calendar before scheduling your treatment will make sure you have enough time to recover.

    What is Laser Tattoo Removal

This procedure uses laser technology for the removal of tattoos. Patients should avoid direct sun exposure 6 weeks before and for two months after each procedure. If it is necessary to be in the sun, a sunscreen with SPF 30 or greater protection should be used and applied hourly while in the sun. Multiple treatments may be necessary to achieve desired results. Complete tattoo removal is not always possible, as tattoos were meant to be permanent. Possible risks of the procedure include, but are not limited to pain, purpura, swelling, redness, bruising, blistering, crusting/scab formation, ingrown hairs, and infection.

How effective is laser tattoo removal?

In most cases it’s very effective, and a tattoo can be reduced significantly or removed completely.

How many laser treatments are needed to remove a tattoo?

There are many factors that determine how many treatments are needed to remove a tattoo.  In general it may take up to 12 treatments spaced at least 8 weeks between each treatment

Are there differences in treating fair vs dark skinned people?

The fairer the complexion, the more aggressive we can be because we’re not worried about discoloration of the surrounding skin. With darker complexions, we have to be more cautious because the chances of discoloration — either hypo- or hyperpigmentation — increase.
